world and India alone has more than 2 million Hindu temples. But you
will be surprised to know that the biggest Hindu temple isn't in India
The biggest Hindu temple is Cambodia. The name of this temple is 'Angkor
Wat'. measuring 162.6 hectares (1,626,000 m2; 402 acres), it was built
by King Suryavarman II in Yasodharapura, in the 12th century.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. From 1986 to 1992, the
Archaeological Survey of India took charge of repairing this temple.
Angkor Wat was declared a 'World Heritage Site' in 1992.
